Default It's Finally Done .....

..... I think . This is the drum that Jeff (Smoookin') gave me at the Bash last October. Wednsday it got sand blasted & painted, Thursday it was coated with veggie oil & seasoned, today I put the racks, handles, etc on it. Sometime this weekend will be the first cook .

Yep, it is. I got it a few of years ago to put on the BSKD but never got around to installing it, was using the ET-73 instead. It's amazing what you'll find hidden in the garage .

Why are your pictures slanted to the left. As a kid your legs were the same length. Maybe a bit tipsy, big bro? LOL

Good job, Dave. Now make one for me!

Great job!

After looking at hundreds of pics of UDS....I finally have a reason to build one. I've turned 2 of my fellow co-workers onto the Brethren website. One of them is interested in building a UDS and I've decided to try one myself. We're going to make it a joint effort. I guess now I can start the tedious task of reading the thousands of pages of information located within the Brethren site. Pics and the "hundreds of questions" I'll have will soon follow! (lol)

Looks good!! However, I think you should receive the Brethren award for taking longer to build one than anyone in history!!

I guess you and I have a different idea of tedious. :)

I'm in the middle of my UDS build myself. I finish the wire brushing today and installing a few mods. Then its time for paint and the seasoning of the drum. Hopefully that all happens this weekend. With three kids under the age of 5 its unlikely...

Now you have to finish it all by destroying that monster gasser that is shown in the first pic under its cover.

Default My cheap azz chimney starter

I took an old unused campstove some scrap pieces of metal and wood and came up with this. It's pretty sturdy, works good and was free. I was bored.
