Oooh, steak, good idea! Got a few filets in the freezer that are just taking up space. Can throw them on, as well. I am clearly caught up in pre-Hurricane Gustav hysteria.

Nice ride there, Gary K. I'm a Cobra-phile myself. Please PM me some details!

My wife bought three 8 LB. pork butts that I will be putting on the smoker around 10:00 tonight for a birthday lunch tomorrow. As I will be doing the cooking, yet not attending the birthday party (my choice-too much college football on tv) I decided I deserved a 15 year old bottle of Wild Turkey American Spirit bourbon to sip on while I'm cooking. Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Absolutely no BBQ.

My wife told me she had some friends coming over to play cards. I asked what day. She said why?

I said I'm planning to make some Gumbo this weekend and I want to make sure it's the day after they come.

MMMMMMM, Gumbo. Let us know how it turns out. I did a pot several weeks ago and the wife and I ate it for three days until it was gone. Swear it was better each day, although the shrimp got a little tough at the end.
