Default BBQ in Texas...

After way too many years sitting outside, getting heated up and cooled off, rained on, and simply not taken care of right. My old Silver Smoker finally fell apart, literally, and had to be put out of its misery...

The Bandera has seen too little smoke and I need to remedy that situation soon...

For the 4th though, I am going mobile... I finally replaced my old Smokey Joe Silver, with a Smokey Joe Gold. (The silver had an unfortunate accident with a canoe). We are going to the beach, not too far from where we can get some fresh from the gulf shrimp, shelled and veined, stuffed on skewers. I am thinking lemon pepper shrimp kabobs for the 4th of july!

I will post up some pics when we get back.

Enjoy your 4th!
