You would be surprised what some companies tried to diversify their product lines. Chrysler Made freezers and furnaces at one time. My last house had a Chrysler in the basement! The front of it even had a hood ornament thingy..

Yes they did! Sears Economy Kettles, they have an ash pan that sits in the bottom of the bowl. I had 2 of them that were sacrificed to the UDS gods, but I still have one of the ash pans!

Thanks for the info on the date. I got her all cleaned up tonight and I really dont think she has been used all that much, the lady said her husband died in the late 80's and it's been down there since. I see all kinds of grills just collectin dust in the houses I get into and most have a widower or a single lady livin there. I may have to start askin more questions.
