Talking Apple Baked Beans...and more

I know the rules..no pics it didn't happen but I don't own a camera so please take my word for it.

I made the apple baked beans today for the first time. I didn't have any BBQ to go in them so I used a pound of Jimmy Dean Maple sausage. If they are any better with the Q, I would not be able to stand it. Next time, I may have the beans as the meal.

Also, I picked up a three pack of baby backs Saturday at Sam's. they had to be the meatiest ribs I have ever used. Did about a 2-2-1 method with maple wood. We had four of us for dinner and normally we would have gone through three racks. I barely made it though about 6 bones worth. Needless to say, we have 1 1/2 racks vac packed in the freezer for lunch this week.

Those beans are the best. Add a little corn bread and dinner is done....

The only thing better than these beans is to have them a week later. I reheated the ones I made last week and man were they ever good. Complexity was amazing. So next time make plenty and save some. You will not be sorry.

I always use a maple fatty when I make them. I like the flavor it adds.
