Tel-Tru Thermometers Sloowwwww

Oy Vey...

I ordered two black dial BBQ thermometers from Tel Tru's website on Feb 28th ($40 each plus the "installation kit")

I JUST got an email from them saying it is shipping today and will arrive 3-25-2008!

Why does it take a month to get a thermometer?? It was not a custom deal... I just picked one from their website.

Anyone else had a molasses like experience with TelTru\??

Who else sells these things??

My better half used to work for a company that repped them.

My guess would be that they have given priority to manufacturing some of their other products to supply the oil/gas exploration folks. You can't drive around N. Texas without seeing someone drilling for gas these days.

I say it is worth the wait. The Backwoods smokers come with Tel-Tru and I can tell you that they are right on temp wise. That was not the case with thermometers on my previous smoker

You should of ordered 2 BLUE dial thermometers. Choosing black is where you went wrong in the first place, Now you know why it is soooooo slow

I recently went to their site to order and saw something about the long delivery stated on their site. I didnt want to wait so I went to Spicewine and ordered two of his after reading about others using them. I dont know who makes them but they are as accurate as the tel-tru's on my other cookers.

That's the truth! My Mother rented a 40 acre place on Hilltop Rd. in Argyle, TX (just SW of Denton on 377). The old man they rented from croaked, and the kids inherited the property and eveicted my Mom, then bulldozed the house and popped two gas wells there. Hit on both. Kerr-Chiiiing!

Mom lives in Montague County now... 5 acres in Forestburg just N. of Bowie.

www.wolferub.com is a rep for Tel-Tru therms, he's also a little cheaper than the mfr. site and it'll ship right away.

www.kck.com sells the Tel-Trus - pretty much any version up the the 5" glow in the dark with a 4" stem.
