I cooked a couple chuck roasts yesterday for today's game. I don't have a sauce that I really like with beef. Has anybody got one that they like. Thanks. Brian
PS I also made some fatties stuffed with chopped apple, sharp Cheddar cheese, and brown sugar, then wrapped in bacon, to be sliced as appetizers. |

This is what I used on my Pulled Chuck last week:
Black Jack BBQ Sauce: 2 cups chopped sweet onion, 2 cups strong coffee, 1 cup catsup, 1 cup worcestershire, 1/2 cup brown sugar, 1/2 cup cider vinegar, 1/4 cup Texas Pete, 3 Tbls. chili powder, 6 cloves garlic minced, 2 tsp. salt Combine in sauce pan, bring to simmer, simmer 1/2 hour.... |

Sounds good, N8! I've never tried Texas Pete. What other hot sauce is it similar to?

Louisiana Tapatio Valentina Texas Pete does have it's own unique flavor though. It's the only thing I'll use in my BBQ beans. And thanks for the recipe N8. I will try that.

![]() It is a milder, sweeter red cayenne pepper and vinegar sauce compared to something more firey like Tabasco Sauce. |
