There are so many more that I have in my library but this is what got me started.
Good God! You can buy the first one for a penny and the other one is almost a $100. What a range. How can anyone pass up a book for a penny?

I suspect that they are correct. The Thrill of The Grill was a large number pub, the Uncle Billys is a small Publisher. Plus Uncle Billy's Downeast Barbecue is gone, as far as I know, and the book is out of print. Therefore colloctor value drives up the price.

I have been offered over $500 for my mint condition first edition [hardback] copy of "Smokestack Lightning".

I have several editions similar to Uncle Billy's that are worth [well, maybe not WORTH], but sell for big bucks.

I sold a First edition of Julia Child's French Cooking for 450.00 years ago.

What do you all think of "Smoke and Spice." That's the book that got me going.
