Default Too much draft??

I have a modified GOSM charcoal smoker that I modified with a SFB and 3' exhaust stack (see pics in my sig). I've been wondering if by adding the exhaust to an already 3' high vertical smoker that I might be giving it too much of a draft. It seems to cook alright, I'm getting about 5-6 hour burn from 10 lbs of coals. Should I bring the stack down? The original reason for the height was to get the smoke above face-level.

I would assume that too much draft would result in high fuel consumption/high temps. If it is cooking ok, I would say the extended stack is not a problem.

Thanx for the reply. It's my first offset, but I'm guessing 5-6 hours per basket of coals could be normal. A lot of heat does get rediated out from the SFB. It holds temps OK....sometimes a little low depending on the wind.
