Default First time using a probe thermo

I am getting ready to cook a pork loin and I'm curious about where to put the probe? Right dead in the middle I assume?

Slide it in from the top not the end unless you want a little hole in the center of every slice of loin

Make sure you get the probe in the center of the meat. Going through the top is fine.
Good Luck with your cook.

I hold the probe on the outside of the meat to measure where the center is and then mark that depth on the probe with my fingertip and then slide it in the top center until my fingertip is touching the meat. That way the tip is in the center on the inside.
