Default Stevensville Results

Grand: 3 Eyze BBQ
Reserve: Checkered Pig

This was a very humbling experience. We took a giant step backwards on our 2nd comp. We came in 29th overall out of 40 and we thought all of our turn ins were pretty good. We did experiment with the brisket which we all liked, but the judges thought differently. Oh well, back to the drawing boards.

Thanks Ron. We got kicked in chicken, (I guess that is what happens when you over smoke it) we knew from the first bite it was a loser. Not sure what happened to our brisket though 4 judges 8's & 9's across the board one judge 2 - 4's and another 2 - 5's (kind of puzzling to us) it was all from the same piece of meat. All in all we had a great weekend meeting alot of great people.

Congrats, guys! Those brisket scores do seem a little puzzling, Michelle. Who knows what certain judges are thinking.
