July 27-28th, Dodge City Days BBQ Contest. I will probably be in DC that weekend anyway delivering the kids to Grandparents and was wondering if any Brethren would like to compete? I have place for up to 6 to stay, a beer sponsor, I am looking for someone who can help foot the bill for meat and entry. My dad called, they are expecting 55 teams, entry is $150. I was born and raised here and never competed at this one. I am willing to compete under any name, but feel as if we list me as Head Cook we may earn some "brownie points". Let me know! I'll be there anyway and may just pull the wekfare wagon down just for kicks! But would rather have a "fancy wagon" to compete!

Can't do it myself, Dustin. In all likelihood, that will be the wekeend we do a garage sale to help with gas money for Colorado. I'm doing two in a row before that as well. That short woman who lives in my house would scratch my face off... if she could reach it!

How much money would one have to put up?

Looks like I need to figure out how to change that saying under my username because no good BBQ farker would use a can of lighter fluid to start up their smoker. Yes I am new to this sight and I'm lookin to see some competition BBQ up close and personal. Consider me a body that is will to do almost any thing to help out a team as long as it is legal and moral. I can see that this sight has a good sense of humor based that saying under my name.
