ok... I am starting to plan our trip out to the American Royal. Yeah, I know it's still 4 months away. Planning is what I do. Anyone who has driven across this country is welcome to chime in. The meatwagon is leaving from Massachusetts and is headed to Kansas City, MO for the first time.
Anyone who has done it, either way (east to west or west to east)... I'd appreciate input as to the best routes, anywhere good to stop, any cool things we shouldn't miss on the way, stuff like that. I am armed with an atlas and I haven't sent in my AAA membership fee yet. Who needs AAA when you have Brethren? Thanks~

Hi Michelle,
You're gonna have a blast. My advice is to arrive early. Most of the invitational teams will be in place Thursday afternoon and the party is on from there. You'll meet and get to hang with teams from everywhere and you'll love it. See you there, Ray

Some day I'll find me an excuse to make it down there, at least once. Can't wait to hear all about it!

No doubt about the rv.... While I drove straight through both ways to Lake Placid... Not sure if I will do that for Harpoon. It's just way to easy to pull over and get some sleep in an rv when you have those monster drives...
As for food, I leave that up to my Garmin. I've named her Ginger... Scottie
