Competitors- Thank you for your interest in the Colorado Pork & Hops Challenge. The competition is two events rolled into one. BBQ and Beer. Let’s talk BBQ…
We’re proud to have our BBQ event sanctioned by the Kansas City Barbeque Society. The Board of Directors, staff and volunteers will do everything we can to make your visit with us during this event a fun and memorable occasion.
The event date is September 21-22 in Grand Junction, Colorado and we couldn’t have picked a more beautiful time of year to invite you to our city. Bring some friends and share this weekend experience with them. We have included an information packet from the Grand Junction Visitor & Convention Bureau.
Planning big events is nothing new to us, we’ve been putting on events for years. We own 5 of the top radio stations in Western Colorado reaching 125,000+ listeners every week. In addition to our stations, we will be using television stations, newspapers, billboards, the internet and more to promote this event. We are also working together with the city of Grand Junction to organize and plan this event.
This event will benefit Colorado Discover Ability (CDA). CDA is a non-profit organization that provides outdoor recreation to people with disabilities and youth at risk.
We will be organizing a free wine tour on the night of Thursday September 20th. Our area is known as Colorado’s Wine Country and we are excited to share this experience with you.
