G'Day Bruces! :becky:

Well we all know whats going down right now. I've pretty much moved into my shed with working from home and all that. I'll post that in another thread... But anyhow Easter came along and we are stuck here. I had this crappy old frame that a friend gave me (1 of 2) and I never had time to do anything with it.... Until Now! :clap2:

Here's the frame... all rusted Stainless Steel.

I bought this cheap 2 burner flat top from our local equivalent of Home Depot:

Ground all the rust off the frame. Prepped and painted it.

Bought some prefinished boards and cut them to size:

Painted them in an exterior oil with a slight tint. 5 coats.

Screwed in the bench tops:

General Work in progress while still doing Uni work... Nice Alienware workstation for video processing:heh:

Done: Mounted the flat top... bloody perfect fit. Was meant to be!

She's still a virgin. Time to oil her up!:becky:

I'll post how she goes later on. I've always been moderately handy. I muddled through this one... Made a few mistakes but really happy with the result. A great addition to the new Man Cave.

Cheers!

I expect this kinda sh!t from you..

And appreciate it.

Yeah. Got the full compliment.

Learned from my Dad who is a few digits short from the guard he took off a table saw. Ouch.

That prep table is going to be so handy. Looks fantastic. I always find myself running out of room around my griddle.

My great grandfather was a cabinet maker and was missing two digits on a hand. He’d have a cigar in the other 3 fingers 24/7 and I just remember that sight scared the chit out of me as a kid

Looks great, My shop teacher in high school was missing several fingers, always wondered how he got the job lol , he was a fine fellar all ways willing to help.

Really good to see people putting their extra time to good use. That is a great looking build!
