Bought some freshly ground beef and bacon from the local butcher as it was smash burger time.

Taking advantage of the cast iron pizza pan for this cook.

Get the bacon cooked and onto the warming rack.

Sop up some of the bacon fat then get the onions on.

While the onions are frying, add some yellow mustard.

Minimal seasoning and handling for the ground beef.

Get the beef onto the griddle.

I've heard about smash burgers and thought, "meh. it's how I cooked them when all I had was a CI pan.

But your cook? I'm going to have to rethink this thing and try it.
