Peach Cobbler

Waited for the rain to subside to try out some dessert on the Weber kettle. Peaches were mixed with nutmeg, lemon juice, brown sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon and a touch of clove. Topped with a biscuit like batter and cooked for around 45 minutes. Served with vanilla bean ice cream. Came out great!

Yes Titch the lemon really brightened it up. I'm lucky to have a couple lemon trees in my yard.

I did notice a bit of smoke flavor on the crust, very subtle.

It had a very subtle smoke flavor, I only picked it up on the crust of the cobbler.

Wow that looks great. I'm lazy by nature and usually make the easy cheater Paula Dean cobbler with the stick of butter.

Even simpler is the Pioneer Woman version. Kudos to @dannypat21 for the inspiration. I will be glamping soon, and I might be using his approach.
