Ground beef recalled in Arizona

Jun. 4, 2007 11:42 AM
BOISE, Idaho - Albertson's, in cooperation with United Food Group LLC, has voluntarily recalled the sale certain ground beef items due to a possible contamination of the E. coli bacteria.

The products have been recalled from Albertsons store locations in Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico and Wyoming.

Out of an abundance of caution, United Food Group LLC and Albertson's LLC advise customers to refrain from consuming the following products, which have a sell-by date between April 20, 2007 and May 7, 2007.

Pre-packaged products include:

• Moran's 73/27 1{nldr} Chub, UPC: 34779 60501

• Moran's 73/27 5{nldr} Chub, UPC: 34779 60000

• Moran's 96/4 2{nldr} Chub, UPC: 34779 96000

• Moran's 93/7 2{nldr} Chub, UPC: 34779 91000

• Moran's 73/27 3{nldr} Chub, UPC: 34779 60010

• Moran's 96/4 1{nldr} Chub, UPC: 34779 96194

• Moran's 90/10 Sirloin 1{nldr} Chub, UPC: 34779 21117

Sold at the Butcher Block Counter:

• Albertsons 90/10 Sirloin

If customers have this product in their home they can return it to any Albertsons store for a full refund or exchange.

Customers who have questions about this recall may contact United Food Group's 24-hour toll-free hotline at (800) 325-4164 for assistance.
