Hi,
I did a quick search of the forum and I was able to find checklist for competitors, but not for organizers. Does anyone have a checklist that they use for organizing events? Preferably with a time frame? Thanks! Eric |

I can't help ya on that list much but I sure would like to have a couple things on their list...
1)- You just bout gotta have a physical address to run mapquest - it won't run to a PO Box, or "over by the river" or even to the "town square" and if you run it to the home address of the organizer where the check was sent your probably gonna be late getting to the site. 2)- Always have two sets of Porta Potties with one smaller set roped off in the center of the cooking sites or somewhere away from the other set for the public. At least that way if they are trashed like I see em sometimes we'll know we done it ourselves - I mean if your not sober enough to hit the hole you need to set down and if your not sober enough to hit the hole that way you need to head to the house. Granted the address thing can be worked around with some phone calls and such but that PP thing is real difficult especially when you got the wife along and no Potty in your trailer and no more moolah to pay for one and besides 75 smackers to use a potty for a 2 days is kinda steep (no pun intended). Maybe a pay as you go would work better (no pun intended).

Here is avery detailed checklist that I got off the KCBS web site last year. It covers everything from getting sanctioned to a detailed list and a coutdown to the contest.
