Default Competing

I gotta question. I did extra well in my first big contest in Mobile and I'm wondering if it's normal for me to think about this next contest on the 20th of this month with so much fear and doubt? I just keep thinking I just lucked up and this time I'll be something like last place or something. I wake up thinking that and I also fear that I'll be so nervous that I'll shut down and quit like I nearly did at 3 in the morning on the last contest. The question again is - is this normal and are any of ya'll qualified / or just maybe semi qualified bbq shrinks?

The fear and doubt is better than being arrogant and cocky in my opinion. I think you will probably pay more attention that way. Either way, I am sure they make a medication for it......Good luck.

No mater how well we did at our last contest, I always feel like that. I built a machine that helps a lot. Seriously, I do agree that it keeps you on your toes. Get too Cocky and you will get shut down and humbled very quick!!
