Anyone have info on this event?

Organizer e-mailed an entry form.
$300 entry--high even for FBA. :redface:
I asked for "payouts" and brochure, but no respose yet.

Is this one "worth it" ??
Need to make a decision.

It was good to me last year Tim - 1st ribs and RGC :mrgreen:

Payout is:
GC $1500
RGC $750
Category:
1st $400
2nd $300
3rd $200
4th $100
5th $75

Ancillaries are Sauce, Wings, Anything But - $25 each to enter.

Room is a little tight, but it's well run from what I recall. I'll be there.
 
I'm taking the judges class on Friday night and hope to judge on Saturday. I'll be there either way so if not judging I will be glad to give any of the Brethren a hand.

yea I know I came to pay ya but couldnt find ya, I left after the awards, lets keep up with it till lake city and see who owes who. between you and the space coast guys I have to start payin attention again...............lets see what happens

Jimmy, Dennis and I did not plan to cook in Lake City but if you need help getting there or help setting up or anything let us know we would be glad to help..

Those are some steep entry fees. West, Tx was only $125 and they paid through 15th place $100. We ended up with 101 teams. How do they get away with them fees in Florida? I would imagine it will keep a lot of folks from entering.

Rub, how many teams entered last year's event?
 
40 teams last year, last count was 35 for this year. $300 is high, but not uncommon. Of course $125 sounds a lot better.
