Default The 50 Egg Club

If this breaks the rules I apologize, go ahead and remove it.

Big Green Egg is giving away 50 large egg packages worth $1000 each this year to 50 Grand Champions at 50 contests. It started last week in Lakeland where Cool Smoke won and continues this week in Winter Haven.

Here's a post from Bobby-Q on the egg forum:

Hi Guys and Gals,
I just wanted to let y'all know about a HUGE promotion that we're doing this year for the BBQ contest circuit. It's called the 50 EGG club. 50 Contests, 50 Champions, 50 EGGS. To be in it...You Gotta Win It.

We're doing it is a way to give back to the BBQ community and everyone is really EGGcited about it. If you're a competitor or are considering it, then check out our special web site to see the contests you could win an EGG at.

Nice! Another reason to go back to the Hudson Valley Rib Fest...so I can meet the GC and make them an offer on their new egg.

That is so cool! I saw that on the wbbqa site that 3 were going to up for grabs-but 50! What a prize!

They should give them to the 50 DAL teams, not the winners! DAL could use the help, and would just show how great the eggs are. :)

That's a good idea, since I've never been to a comp before, I could have a chance

BGE is really happy with the support from the BBQ community and it's a way to give some back. It's no small ticket, that's for sure.

Kudos to BGE. How did you decide which contests get BGEs, Ray? Any chance for Michigan next year? We're doing all we can to promote BBQ here.
