Question KCBS Judging Class (Des Moines,IA 3/3/07)

Are any Brethren gonna be at the KCBS judging class in Des Moines, Iowa on March 3rd? I'm thinkin' about going for two or three reasons:
1: To get a better idea of what "real" or "good" BBQ should be.
2: To join the KCBS & get to pick the brains of some of the "big boys".
3: To maybe meet some of the other "certified BBQ idiots" that I only know from the various forums out here.

Make sure you come out to the World Pork Expo contest in June. Several of us will be cooking that one. Friday night Brethren bash for sure.

Can't find any information for this at the KCBS page.
I did find a judging class in Watertown MN on April 21st.
Contest in Watertown June 20/21.

I just checked the Iowa BBQ Society website and while they do make mention of a class on 3/3/07 the location was TBA.
What Iowa group do you refer ? Last year the class was held in Marshalltown. I didn't see any classes set up in Iowa in the last Bullsheet.

Anne's with the National Pork Board. They are a BIG force behind BBQ in Iowa the last several years. Anne's a great lady and runs a great contest at the World Pork Expo.

Anne grew up in the same small Iowa town that I did. She went to school with my aunt and uncles. I knew of her family, but we had never really known each other until I judged the 2001 BarBaQlossal contest.

It's the Iowa Barbeque Society, I just joined this last month, so I don't know a whole lot (actually nothing) of what goes on. Looking at the app, it looks like its at the National Pork Board Offices, 1776 NW 114th St., Clive Iowa, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on March 3, 2007. It says that the class is limited to 42 students, I've got mine filled out & will mail it on my way to work in the a.m.

Dave, where did you get the application for the class? I want to attend if it is in Clive. The NPB is about 2 miles from my place so it would be easy for me to get to.
