Default Where to buy ribs?

It is getting increasing difficult to find spareribs (any ribs for that matter) that are not enhanced. I cooked some enhanced ribs yesterday only because I gave up. They were edible, but not as good as they could be...

I live outside of Charlotte, NC, anybody know of a place to buy ribs in or around Charlotte? I spent a Saturday a few weekends ago riding around on my motorcycle looking for "butcher" shops, but when I got there, they were simply sandwich shops.

Thanks!!

I have always been able to get them at COSTCO.

That being said, I havn't bought ribs in a couple of months, so it may have changed.

It's been my experience that both food lion and harris teeter sell enhanced ribs.

The ones I've been buying at the local Sam's here for the past 5 years have not been enhanced. I hope they never change.

Ditto the Sam's club. I can get full spares and baby backs from them-
un-enhanced.

Don't know your local Grocery chains, but here in Florida, Albertson's also has un-enhanced meat, as does Publix[pricey though].

Sam's seems to be the best choice for ribs around here. A lot more consistent than the local grocery stores. I wish we had a COSTCO.

This could be bad news.
The folks that supply costco with ribs (Swift meats) Just had a nationally wide raid by the I.C.E. people.
Could mean a large jump in pricing.

I.C.E., are they a division of CHAOS or SPECTRE. Need to know if we should be calling Smart or Bond.

No, they're some branch of immigration.

Chit - their BB prices have held steady at $2.99. Early this summer they were down to $2.69.

I've actually bought "unenhanced" spares at a Sam's off of I-85 in Gastonia I think. Wrong side of Charlotte from Concord but there's probably one closer.

I just bought some bb's from costco this morning and they aren't enhanced and they were $2.99 a pound. They sure look good on the grill right now, too.

Thanks all, I bought a membership to Sam's yesterday and bought some spareribs for 2.17/lb. I also bought a nice pork tenderloin for 1.77/lb.
