Default I'm Confused

While reading the latest BullSheet I noticed Cancersuckschicago.com won the Invitational at the Jack, but looking through the results I see they got a 6th in ribs and a 3rd in pork. How did they garner enough points to win with that? Is it because the rest of the field watered down the totals?
I looked around to find the actual points but couldn't find them anywhere.
Any how congrats to them, I understand his dad passed on during the contest.

The Grand Champ is decided by total score for the 4 main meats. You don't have to take a 1st in a category to win a contest.

I know that (in my best President Reagan voice). But it seems the GC usually has at least a win in one catagorie or several high finishes. Thats what apparently caught my eye.
I'll just assume with such a large number of excellent cooks, a 6th and a 3rd is a job well done.
