For the Dog Days of Summer throw down I decided to get outside the bun and have some fun.
Ladies and Gentleman, (and deguerre too) may I present the Bratwurst Fatty Wellington!
Here is the stuff....
I took a package of Brats and took them out of the casing and made a fatty. Wrapped it in foil and pre cooked it since it will be cooked a second time later.
Took it out at about 140 I.T. and let it cool to room temperature.
Once cool, I artfully I wrapped the fatty in puffed pastry.
Gave it an egg wash and cooked in the Komado at 400 deg. until reheated and the pastery is puffed and browned.
Also made some grilled Buffalo wings.
I opted for a Carolina mustard sauce instead of standard mustard.
On the plate
I'm not the best photographer, but I had a lot of fun with this challenging idea.
Thanks for looking!
