Thinking of taking a trip in the Seattle area and Everett. Anyone been up there or anyone on the list from the Washington area who can gie me some locations of some Q while I'm there? Thanks

I'm south in Portland but Seattles culture is similar... don't go to Seattle for Q. Salmon is the signature food in the NW. Look around for a local joint that does Salmon or crab or geoduck (pronounced gooey-duck, its an enourmous clam).

Find a place with smoked salmon on the menu, but don't bother with the Q. Its an imported food and you won't find anything for sale better than you can do yourself.

For a fun... make time to get to the Pike Street Market. I think the flying-fish people will even ship home some very good stuff for you. http://www.pikeplacefish.com/

Thanks David, I saw the show "Dirty Jobs" on the discovery channel and they did a show on the harvesting of geoducks, I think I might be interested in trying it, just have to get over the "it looks like a .... " issue that was very evident on the show.
I'll let you know either way when we make it up that way. Thanks again
