Finally got around to cooking up the leg from the lamb we bought a little while back. Went nice and simple...made a paste with some k salt, fresh garlic, EVOO, some oregano, thyme, pepper, and some lemon zest. Rubbed it down, and let it get happy for a few hours

Got the kettle up to temp with some RO lump, and a chunk of cherry, put the leg on the spit, and got the rotis going

cooked it somewhere in this range, and even a bit hotter for a while

Let it got for a few hours until it looked a little like this

Gave it a rest for a bit while I oven roasted some spuds, the sliced it up

Served it up with said spuds, and some onion jam

and a nice strawberry-rhubarb blond ale for dessert :biggrin1:

Then, took the leftovers on Sunday, and made up a quick hash...
got the CI nice and hot, and started with some garlic and spuds

next came some cubed up leg

neither meal sucked...and I'll definitely treat my next leg of lamb to a nice ride on the spit :peace:
