Default you guys are awesome

It's my last day at my current job, and I'm starting a new job. So, I'm making 6 racks of baby backs, and a rack of spares right now to take to work for a goodbye lunch for everybody.

The thin blue smoke is drifting up above the UDS, and the neighborhood smells like smoke and pork.

So why are all of you awesome? Because I learned everything about BBQ, from temps, to rubs, to cuts of meat, and even the UDS, right here.

So, thanks! Have a beer tonight knowing how awesome you all are!

I neglected to mention one thing....I'm sure you did at the old job, but at the new job don't wait...make BBQ for them soon after arrival (of course at the appropriate time). I'm certain bossman will like that....

Started competing in chili cookoffs back in the 1990's and have competed in more than I care to count. I became a CBJ in MiM in 2005, then MBN and in GBA in 2010. I've probably judged 130+- BBQ comps (sanctioned and unsanctioned) over this time. That said, I really enjoy competing more than I enjoy judging, and hope to get back to doing 4 or 5 a year in the near future.
