Cool smoke'n Beef ribs today.

My 1st time smoke'n beef ribs...I'm doin them Tex style...just peper & salt...but are there any pros here to offer some advise...any tips at all...Oh and I will post pics.

I haven't done beef ribs yet. On my to do list. Everything I have read is to treat them like a brisket. Up to you if you do low and slow or hot and fast. Get them the color that you like and then foil them (or not). Cook them until the are probe tender.

I did some small shorts yesterday and did them naked until they probed like nuthin'...good luck!

skullleader what type of beef ribs are you smoking? Spares, shorties, english cut , flanken. Imho no foil needed unless time is a factor. Just smoke to tender and you will be fine.

I've done them both ways with and without the membrane. Not too much of a difference.

Man!...for my 1st time out on these beef ribs..I did pretty good.....smoked them for 4 1/2 hours...nice bark on both side....nice smoke ring...JOOCY and tender. I do have a few pics to show...but I can't uplaod the pic from Iphone....can anyone help?
