Default Just a torch test and chicken experiment (very successful)...video and pics

This is that little torch i picked up from Harbor Freight the other day...been using it to light my baskets when using all lump. Today i'm using mostly the Kingsford competition with a little lump i had left from the last cook.

I was curious how easy the competition would light and i'm gonna reverse sear these thighs over the competition briquettes because i heard they produce way less ash. Probably stupid for trying the sear over the briquettes but we'll see for sure soon. Just threw the thighs on for the smoke for now.

Sorry it got dark outside on me....trust me those competition coals get hot!!! Most importantly they blow off really clean.

Throwing the chicken on the fire now.

Again this is jerk rubbed....but i gotta say this fire roast added INCREDIBLE flavor....These thighs gotta be in the top 1 or 2. Please try this you won't be disappointed. Thanks for lookin
