I think she wants to draw a line that keeps her from having to cook and clean EVERYTHING. Wifey deserves a break and some Q

My wife encourages my Q addiction because I make less of a mess on the patio than in the kitchen...

It's not the manly thing to do. It is the only thing to do.

I dont think that there is any question that there are more men that Smoke/BBQ. Im willing to bet that if you get a gender from each member on this site, it will not even be close. So by the numbers I would say, yes it is a man thing.
But the ladies that are on this site have proven that they are more than capable of kicking a mans butt when it comes to bbq. And Im sure they could kick a few of the brethrens butt outside of bbq

I'm trying to think of the right word....Men instinctively are attracted to fire and cooking...grunting and such as it's more of a primal thing. That said Jeanie could cook circles around most of us.

I learned to grill from my dad. Everything else I know about cooking I learned from my mother and grandmother. Cooking in a covered cooker is in effect using a wood-fired oven, which means the women in my life taught me to BBQ.
Just for interest, here is a site run by women.
