Default Qmaster senior automatic temp control

Hi i'm new to this. Does anybody on the forum use one? I'm having a hard time understanding programing instructions. I have temp readings 100 to 300 degrees different than regular themometers in the same area of the smoke pit. I have swapped probes to no avail. Maybe some one else may have had the same problem.
