Default What rain? I'm grillin any ways...

Started raining this afternoon, but I already planned on grilling some pork ribeyes. Hauled out the picnic umbrella and fired up the gasser. Cooked at about 475* until IT was about 135*. Very tender and juicy. Best pork chop I have had in a while...

Yeah they look delicious. 475 for like what - 12 minutes or less?
How about a money slice? I need to get pork chops down to a science.

Default Back strap loin chops

Those appear to be boneless loin chops and with today's vey lean pork, they are difficult to cook without drying them out. Thank you for your high heat/short time cooking tip. I will try it. Greybeard/

I cooked some yesterday and they turned out great as well! I used my Vortex on the Weber.....high heat sear followed by indirect. Turned out perfect and were unaffected by the rain.

Thanks Jeanie. Bought the tulips for the wife at the same time I got the ribeyes. Hoping they last until our anniversary this weekend...
