Default chicken parts

Can someone tell me "about" how long to smoke legs and breasts? Thought I'd smoke at 325 to get the skin a little crispy. I have a Maverick therm but it seems difficult to place in a leg or breast. I was thinking about 1 or 1 1/2 hr like the oven. Thanks.

I'm thinking when I smoke breasts at around 300, I had figured 90 minutes and it took less than that, probably closer to an hour.

Instant read thermometers are your friend when cooking chicken. Take them off at 160-165 and rest 'em, you'll be G2G.

I do the big breasts from Sams at 300 for maybe 45-50 minutes. For legs I do 275 for couple hours then 15 mins with sauce (legs indirect on BGE, breasts direct).

Just did some legs and thighs today. Cooked them at 350 or a little better for 13 minutes a side, pulled em at around 30 min. checked temp, was at 180 and juicy as all get out, the skin was bite through also.. I used one piece of seasoned cherry wood
nine inches long by about two inches thick for the smoke.

Default Temperature

Temperature of meat is the key
Breast no higher than 165.
Legs and thighs 180.
Temperature of smoker will drive the time to cook.
I have cooked from 225 to 300 deg.
Hope this helps.
