Default Humphrey's Holiday cookin' prons

Since many Humphrey's owners will also be throwing it down for Thanksgiving, why not start a thread of holiday cooking prons.

I'm doing a turkey test today. 24hr brine, spatchcocked, injected one side with a OTC Cajun butter injection and the other side with clarified butter. Rubbed with a modified yardbird. Also just got a cyberQ in

Can't wait so see the result

Clarified butter side reigned supreme. A more "Natural" flavor and not as salty. The Cajun Butter side was just too much. Maybe if a guy hadnt brined and used a butterball turkey, it would translate better.

after 1.5hr, I threw the turkey into a full foil pan, tossed a half lb of butter chunks on it and covered with foil till finish. had one of those moments where I checked with the thermopen and was getting 154 in both breasts and in 10 min read 166. needless to say I didnt leave covered to rest.

Looks great! How did the Cyber Q do for you?

I should be able to post up some Holiday Pron for Christmas, don't think it's going to make it for Turkey Day.

Dual Battle Boxes are going to be pretty tits. Are they going to be a righty and lefty? My Cube still reflects light like crazy, extra clear might be dangerous to look at in the sun

My Qube'd Box is on order... wish I was able to use it for the t-day turkey. Hopefully it will be done in time for Christmas! For now, I'll be using my UDS with a rotisserie set-up.

Well I really failed at the whole pron thing. Did a packer overnight, bird in the morning. I was sweating bullets thinking that the turkey was going to be done was to early but it timed out just right.

Injected almost a lb of butter in it after a 24hr brine.

Before foil

Done

No money shots.
