If it ain't rusted thru its worth $20 easy - just UDS is easier to cook on and uses less fuel.

Well I went ahead and bought it. The guy delivered it tonight so I really haven't had a chance to look at it. The outside is pretty rusty but I think it is just surface rust. The bottom isn't rusted out but looks like there may be a couple places starting to. I figure just elevate the fire off the floor and it should last a little longer. Was also thinking about putting some sheet metal down in the upper barrel to make a type of reverse flow. Would I still be able to use charcoal or would I need to use wood?

I wish you luck in my limited experience I have found the Big Baby design to be a serious fuel hog.

The drums have the lids with the locking rings. I figure in the upper barrel I can use that to access the meat instead of cutting a door in it. Make racks that I can slide in and out. That should help to keep it airtight like my uds.

2 UDS will pay for themselves in about 3 cooks compared to the amount of fuel you will go through keeping a double barrel cooker hot. They are serious fuel hogs.

It will be hard to make it reverse flow with the 2 pipes going to the top barrel on different sides. I saw one while I was researching them. It had 2 pipes but on the same side.
