Default beef loin strip loin boneless

I got a 10.25lbs roast with the above name at Sam's Club. I was planning on bbqing it like I do rib eye roast. With garlic salt, pepper, light smoke to rare to med rare. But I dont know this cut, any suggestions?

Cut it into 1" slices and you will have NY Strip steaks. I cook them on the smoker all the time. Your cooking plan is what I do. When I mine are done, I slice thin and use for my cheese steak sandwich. You can serve yours like a rib roast. I would cut it in half to cook. It will cook more evenly that way.

That will work fine. I've done it before. I like to cook it at 225-ish until it is around 115 internal and then sear it on a hot grill to bring it up to 125-30 internal and then rest.

If you don't need the whole roast you could cut off some nice strip steaks.
