Yeah - you are gonna have to cook ribs.

I would guess 3 bones per person with sides. It is lunch and a bet I would not go over board.

Thinking 6-8. You wouldn't want to be the bet losin' guy that didn't bring enough food. Give the ones that make the most obnoxious noises while gnawing on the ribs a ziplock full of leftovers when the day is over. You will then transform from loser to legend.

You could always go with a slab of these, courtesy of Landarc

If my memory serves me right, Bigabyte made some boneless ribs a while back out of some tubesteak. I seem to recall a shiner in the photo. Guerry, I'm sure you can find the pic. I imagine a rack of those would be more than enough for a dozen people.

Nevermind, Guerry, I found them myself.
Make up a rack of these:

(I usually prefer my ribs dry, but I think those REALLY need some sauce. )

Don't under estimate the Char-Griller. Especially if you have the side firebox. I was able to smoke 4-5 racks with no rib rack and using the second tray. Where there's a will, there's a way

You could roll the racks as well if you need more space. Hold 6 or 8 no problem.

Or add a 2nd grate above the original with some bolts, washers, and a couple cheap grates.
