Smile Found a Rib Rack that Fits the Mini's

Hey guys & gals,

I've been looking for a while for a rib rack that will fit inside the mini WSM - and I finally found one. I know a few others have been looking, but those that had them didn't remember the brand or where they got it etc..

Anywho - I picked this up at the new Cabela's that just opened, but I noticed it's on sale online too -- http://www.cabelas.com/product/Cabelas-Smoker-Accessories/1286263.uts?Ntk=AllProducts&searchPath=%2Fcatalog% 2Fsearch.cmd%3Fform_state%3DsearchForm%26N%3D0%26f sch%3Dtrue%26Ntk%3DAllProducts%26Ntt%3Drib%2Brack% 26x%3D0%26y%3D0%26WTz_l%3DHeader%253BSearch-All%2BProducts&Ntt=rib+rack&WTz_l=Header%3BSearch-All+Products#BVRRWidgetID -- It's the Weston Rib and Potato Rack Model # 42-0101-W for $8.49.

Here it is on Amazon for almost double at $16.37 - http://www.amazon.com/Weston-42-0101.../dp/B007A0F936

I checked the fit and it's a bit tight but still fits without issues. I think I am going to dremmel off one of the potato spike sides to make it fit even better, but without doing so, it should hold 7 half slabs in the mini or 3 and a half full racks of spares.

The spacing is nice and wide surprisingly which is just what I was looking for in a rib rack. Hope this helps someone looking for the same.

Alternatively, the $4 rib rack from Walmart works also. You just need to hacksaw off the end to make it fit. That's what I did.

I think Academy Sports sells or used to sell a small cheap rib rack that will fit in a Mini-WSM.

I had one of those but the construction is poor on them and after about 3 cooks the three U shaped pieces came apart from the bottom and was left with three metal "tacos"

Dang - good to know - I may wind up returning it then, rather than risking it but then again, maybe not - for $8 it's not much of a gamble but I appreciate the heads up!
