Contest is new but will be a great event and is sanctioned by the KCBS. It is held in St. James MO (right off Hwy 44 just north of Rolla, MO 10 miles). $200 is the entry and you get 20'x30' space, 15 amp electrical, best spot at the contest raffle ticket, long sleeve shirt and 1 bag of ice for the entry. Pay out is $1500 for GC and $1000 for RGC and they will pay the top 5 places in each category as well. They need teams!

What's a Bivouac? A temporary encampment often in an unsheltered area. It is what we do when we go to a bbq contest make a temporary BBQ City!
The event will benefit the Missouri Veterans Home Assistance League of St. James. This League provides funds for “extras” that benefit the Veterans at our home. These “extras” include outings to various locations, specialty buses and vans for these outings, Resident/Family picnics and holiday dinners, and Christmas gifts for every resident as well as many other events and items.
Our event will not only host the BBQ competition but will also offer musical entertainment, food and craft vending. We will also have many displays from different military branches and corporations.
