Not really, Weber holds retailers feet pretty close to the fire. When I got mine I had a bunch of curtomer "points" on my Home Depot account from building a pole barn and use them to get a $150 discount. HD is one of those places that you can order from their web stor and get free delivery to a designated store.

I've never seen 'em go on sale, but I sure do love mine. The extra space is really nice.

No. Weber has a very strict pricing policy. This helps protect mom and pop shops from Lowes, Home Depot and others using their grills as a loss leader.

Weber feels online discounters have cheapened the brand

I'm with "gtr", I love mine, it's worth the price.

This got me thinking that my next build should be a 85 gallon UDS....assuming the Weber 26" grates will fit?

Got mine for sale on eBay, paid $175 brand new. Got it, turned out to be a missing part item so weber sent free wheels and I am golden. Brand new, well 4 cooks 26.75 for that price. Go eBay if you can dude.

I paid full price for mine. I'd do it again in a heartbeat. Lots of space to cook.
