Default New here..take it easy on me **Looking for yoder*

So I have been reading these forums and lurked on a few other sites. I have owned a traeger for the last year or so and think it time to take the next step. Like many looking for the perfect combo...like to grill but need to learn a little more about low and slow. Like the build of Yoder ys640 and the looks of the competition cart. One problem is there in no dealer in my area outside Seattle. Closest being Portland that I know of. Don't really want to drive that far to buy something I have never seen in action and the price of the competition is a little over my head,

Thought I'd start off by asking if anyone might know where to find a used one or if the train of thought it...just buck up and go for it as they do seem awful hard to find used in any area.

First off welcome!!!
Great bunch of folks here to help you out.

There's a seach feature at the bottom of the page. Google will search this site and give you results. There are a ton of threads on the Yoder smokers here.
This one has a lot of good info and input.

Thanks Dave,
I had not noticed that thread but yes it was probably the best thread on the Yoders that I have read...great pics also. Always nice when someone points you in the right direction, and you did just that!

though nothing wrong with posting here, if you post in Q-Talk you are likely to get more hits/views.

Keep an eye on the General For Sale section of the forum. There have been a couple of Yoders offered for sale in the last few weeks.

Also, call Yoder or e-mail them. They have good shipping rates. I don't know what it would be to Washington but the rate they quoted me to Chicago was less than I have gotten for pits with a similar weight.

Thanks Ron. I have in fact called Yoder but am kinda a bargain hunter. Hard to do when a product is fairly new. For that reason I am perusing this forum in hopes of finding something I feel comfortable with. As I said in my first post I have never seen one in action and not having a dealer in my area I can only dream when I see pics.

Anyway, thanks for the advise and must say I enjoy your posts...keep up the good work!
