What is the one thing that you need for a contest that you always manage to forget?

I have a check list that i got from Paul Kirks class and it works great.I didn't use it last time,and forgot my cutting board.

From what I heard from some of the NEBS organizers - it's the fire extingushers. Make sure you have one.

And bring a first aid kit. Asprin and Tylenol come in very handy

I forgot ribs once. I bought them, but left them in my fridge. My teammates were not happy. Ah well thank God for Costco.

I don't spend enough time thinking how I'm going to get sleep. The checklists, if you follow them, help a lot... but taking stuff to allow me to sleep is what I keep forgetting.

One of my teammates is a pharmacist so I think she has that covered.

Sanitizing wipes, Doorbusters Rub, and a trash can with bags. I always take a metal trash can for ashes/coals also. Also if you are balding on the top like myself, sunscreen. Have a 12'x12' EZ up but spend more time outside it. Chairs.

When you all did your practice, did you do it as a full practice run? I mean set up as if you're not at someone's house and run that way... anything you don't have, make sure you note it so you don't forget it next time. That helped me out a lot.

Only thing that wan't a full run was the brisket cook because I had to transport it after cooking it overnight at home.
