I've gotten a few but I think my favorite was when an elderly lady came up to me and said, "Son, I have been eating pastrami all of my life. I've been to Langer's, I've been to Katz and most places in between. I just want to tell you that your pastrami is 'Jew-Approved'!"

I'll take that.

I have had two that I will always remember. One was from the Associate CIO, who I report up through at work, was invited to a rib luncheon I cooked for. He said that my ribs were better than any restaurant he had ever been to...

The second, was from an african american woman I work with, who I am really close with. She told a group of my coworkers the following quote, with me present: "That guy right there, cooks BBQ like a black man" Since she is an uber-foodie, I took that as the highest complement that I could ever get....
