Default Buying a Big Green Egg at the factory

So some of you may know I am trying to sell (or Trade) my XL and downgrade to a Large. Well, I am planning a road trip and will be passig through Georgia, I believe they have a factory or distribution point there.

Does anyone know if I can purchase directly from there?

Would I save money if purchasing directly?

If you really want to make a road trip out of it I'd trade a bubba keg for your XL.. and some TX brisket.

Poor use of a word, perhaps stepdown would have been better.

I am lucky that the BGE headquarters is only about 3 miles from my office. I've bought multiple eggs there. They do run unannounced specials I believe towards the third week of every month. They sell "refurbished" units, which are really just units that they teach their monthly cooking classes/demonstrations on. If you call them, they can tell you when/if there will be a special that month.

I tried to buy mine from them but got a much better deal elsewhere. I worked just a few miles from them at the time.

Also they are nowhere close to the I-95 corridor.

BGE (and Primo) marketing departments are genius at protecting their prices. When I got mine, I was fortunate that a local Brethren knew a local dealer that was getting out of the business and selling off his inventory at discounted prices.

Good luck with finding your deal!
