Long Weekend!
Had a busy one this weekend! Wife had some old friends that do an annual reunion, talked me into taking our leftover pork from St Charles, adding another butt, and brining pulled pork, sauce, buns, baked beans (KeriC's) and cole slaw for 40 to the event Saturday, the yesterday, cooked up 3 more 10 lb butts, another pot of beans, and another batch of slaw for the church that lets us keep our trailer in their lots' vacation bible school. Eats for 60!
So food for a hundred, all out of pocket. Lots of the locals at the reunion have kids, so hopefully we get a little party income here and there out of that. The church is just goodwill, and cheaper than a storage lot, and nicer because it's right across the street! Guess it was my do gooders weekend My cookers need a rest! Tried hot and fast pork butts again as well. I don't know if I'd do it for a comp, but it came out pretty decent!
