Default Craigslist Email Alerts

I make this post knowing I may be subject to ridicule, won't be the first(or thousandth) time. But I only recently found out about tools that will alert me via Email to new listings on CL. Before, I had to Go through each category, say "General" or "Household" or "Farm & Garden" or "Appliances" or "Sporting", and type in "Smoker" for each category. If I searched all lists for "Smoker" I get hundreds of other results mostly involving "Non Smoker".

So when I recently found out about listing tools, it changed the whole deal. I was searching on 5 different CL's, for all of the above categories. Major hassle! This thing was easy but time consuming to set up, and it does not send any spam, though I probably get 4-5 Emails each day. The Emails have a clickable link right to the CL category with "Smoker" or whatever you are looking for, and tells you how many new listings there are. When you click on the link, the page opens with the new listings and old which fit your criteria, with thumbnails if available.

Perhaps this has been discussed here before(probably), but I am computer dumb and it was new to me, and I only visit this site sporadically. So if it can help anyone I wanted to put this out there.

The name of the site I use is "List Alert", though I am sure there are others. Hope this can help someone.
