Default Grad Party - 75 guests - Pron

So my twins graduated from HS last week, and Saturday was the party. All smoking done on my Akorn. I did 75 chicken thighs, 25 at a time, 3 hours per batch, on Thursday. Friday night put 2 10 pound butts on, smoked till 10:00 Saturday morning. Bought a Prime Inside Round, 21 pounds, and cooked it whole, at 250, done in around 3 hours. It came out just about perfect. Pulled it at 110, foiled, in cooler, and it rose to 140, which was five degrees higher than I wanted. Also made 3 fatties, penne with vodka sauce, eggplant parm, antipasto salad, gemelli with fresh tomato sauce, homemade salsa, homemade guacamole, baked beans, grape tomato and mozzarella salad, mac salad, potato salad, cole slaw, and three barbecue sauces.
The animals at the party would barely wait till I put the food out, so I only got pics of the leftovers.

Nobody went home hungry.

Nice... What a great cook! And congrats on your twins graduation. My daughter graduated last year and we had a similar event.

Looks really good. I am going to have to investigate these Akron cookers. I have been seeing a lot of good things about them

Awesome! You must have slept pretty good that night. That's a lot of work right there.
