Yeah. That was part of the trumped up "drama" that had me switch the channel. It was obvious BS. Then to suggest that everyone was waiting around to eat..... Must have been a microwave powered pit.

Pass.

This was so bad it was painful. Why can't they just make an honest show about something without all the fake drama?

Agree with the fake drama.. Running late, with people waiting to eat, and 15 mins later there is BBQ cooked and ready to serve.

I love the "we are running late" and a sudden reveal through the hanger doors with smoke coming out of the hanger.

I like the concept of following a customized special pit - but I am getting sick of shows that dumb down the content to the point of insulting anyone with a functional brain.

DVR'ed it. Started it. May not finish it.

Was hoping they'd have a bit more on building BBQ's and less BS, but ya gotta have "drama"

That was my experience. It was disappointing because it was an insult to your intelligence. And not because I'm a bbq person but because I have an IQ north of 35.

I don't watch a lot of tv outside of NFL and discovery/science channel stuff. If this is reality tv I'm glad I miss it.

It was terrible. I was really interested in the actual design and build, but maybe only 1/4-1/3 of the actual content was about the build, and nothing was very in depth.

The filler made it unbearable. I think shows can have manufactured reality and still be good. This went beyond that. The comedy they tried to create was elementary at best, and the situations were so contrived that a 12 year old wouldn't find it entertaining. Making the mother out to be crazy and manager act like an obese idiot was just ridiculous. Everything with the brewery guys was clearly scripted and BS, etc. Like the above poster said, it was insulting to the viewer.

That being said, the build was quite impressive.
